Like gravity pulls the tides, some people are drawn to each other by an incomprehensible force. The stars aligned for Danielle Faller and Mark Swaim to cross paths in the Colorado winter of 2022, and their resulting musical partnership is just that- a force to be reckoned with. Porch Moment was born from a mutual desire to connect and transform their collective human experiences into songs, which the pair believes is true immortality. Their harmonies have the ability to captivate a room- at times full of boisterous wayfarers, you could hear the sound of a pin drop. Blending Mark’s multi-instrumental abilities, genuine songwriting, and soothing voice, with Danielle’s simple yet profound compositions, and crystalline vocals, the result is nothing short of magic. Drawing inspiration from iconic folk and old-time artists such as Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Norman Blake, Doc Watson, Peter Paul and Mary, Joni Mitchell, and more, they create a unique yet timeless sound. The group is constantly learning, growing, and evolving their craft. Porch Moment is gaining momentum, and in the meantime they are working on releasing their first EP with an album to follow shortly after.
